Discover Long-Lasting Cellulite Treatment with Cellfina

Cellulite is a common issue in the lower body, but it’s not the easiest to treat. While cellulite is caused by downward pressure from fibrous bands on subcutaneous fat beneath the skin, losing weight doesn’t always diminish the appearance of the dimples and bumps commonly referred to as cellulite. Only by releasing the pressure caused by fibrous connective tissues that sit above subcutaneous fat in the lower body can you smooth the appearance of cellulite. That’s exactly what Cellfina does.

Cellfina is not a skin tightening procedure, nor is it a fat loss treatment. It is an FDA-cleared, minimally-invasive treatment designed to improve the appearance of cellulite for at least 3 years. If you struggle to feel confident in swimwear, lingerie, or higher hemlines, Cellfina may be the treatment you need to feel more comfortable in your skin. El Con Health and Wellness can help you decide if Cellfina is right for you with a complimentary consultation in our Tucson office. Why is cellulite so difficult to treat?

There are many products out there that claim to help with cellulite, and you may have found yourself frustrated with these topical solutions that don’t target the real source of the problem. You may also find that even at a healthy weight, cellulite remains visible. It’s a common misconception that cellulite is only a problem for overweight individuals—in reality it has everything to do with the structure of the connective tissues beneath the skin. Only by targeting these tissues will you see a noticeable difference in the tone and definition of affected areas.

How does Cellfina work?

Cellfina targets those fibrous bands of connective tissues beneath the skin, relieving the pressure on fatty tissues that causes a dimpled appearance. It uses a very tiny blade to cut and release those bands so that the surface of the skin appears smoother. Lidocaine is used to manage any discomfort during the treatment itself, but you may experience some soreness afterwards. However, there is no significant downtime following your treatment.

Who is a good candidate for Cellfina?

Cellfina isn’t right for everyone—you should be at a stable weight that’s within a healthy range for your height and body type. Cellfina also will not address loose skin concerns.

What can you expect from your treatment?

Treatment is quick, minimally-invasive, and performed right here in our office. You should be able to get back to your normal activities right away, although you may need to avoid strenuous activity and intense exercise. You may see some bruising and swelling, and a compression garment may be recommended to assist with healing. Results can take up to three months to fully develop, although you may start to see a visible difference in your skin texture within about 3 days. Cellfina is a long-lasting treatment, offering high rates of patient satisfaction after 3 years.

Wonderful service and experience overall. I recommend this place 100%. The service I’ve received at other locations does not compare. -Hannia Martinez
