Chemical Peels
Chemical peels are used to improve the appearance of the skin which is typically performed on the face, neck, or hands. In this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin that -depending on the strength of the chemical peel – either causes it to peel off, revealing new skin layers beneath, or deeply exfoliates the skin without visible peeling. The new, regenerated skin is smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin.
At El Con Health and Wellness Center, we offer a variety of different peels to fit your needs. Whether your goal is to remove acne and acne scarring, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, or simply to restore a more youthful glow and ‘dewiness’ to you skin’s appearance, we can help you choose the treatment that is right for you.
Chemical peels are also an option for mild to severe acne. Despite the name, light chemical peels do not “peel” off the skin. Instead, they deeply exfoliate the skin using an alpha-hydroxy, beta-hydroxy, or glycolic acid. Light chemical peels improve acne by removing dead skin cells and helping to clear pores of debris.
